If you learn the fundamentals on something small then you'll be alive and prepared for a more powerful bike when you decide to upgrade. edit- also, i know pretty much everyone on the mc ask forums always says this, but after taking the msf course i realize how right they were, sign up to take the msf course, they teach you EVERYTHING you need to know to ride smart and safe. before taking the class i had never picked up a bike, by the end of the class i had the second best score in class on the driving test, the instructors were so helpful. well, you don’t really say what you would use it for.
