cbr 1000 motorcycle trouble starting please help?

i have a 1987 cbr 1000 honda motorcycle which won’t electric start, winds over slowly, i have replaced the starter solenoid, taken the starter motor off, cleaned and it seems to be ok. it will clutch start easy and runs perfectly. i replaced battery and the cam chains 4 months ago, it has been ok up until then…..problem started about 1 month ago. any help would be greatly appreciated
it is the starter clutch that is gone
ps. and it will cost about $1100 aussie. cheers

    Ahh, this is the starting problem. Sounds like a weak connection somewhere. To check and see, connect a volt meter to the starter terminals and watch the voltage while your trying to crank it. If there is less than 11 volts while cranking then there probably is a bad ground connection, but could be the positive side. Just be sure the ground to the frame is really good and clean and free of paint.

    make sure both battery connections are clean and tight, the battery fully charged. if both of these are good, have the battery load tested. another thing would be the voltage regulator gettin squirelly and might need replaced.

    you see it is possible to solve it. if NO than you go to the motorcycle garage or showroomes
